Chernihiv Regional Philharmonic was founded in 1944. State Philharmonic concert consisted of two teams of 12 people.
First Philharmonic housed in the former convent Eletski. The room with room for 612 seats Philharmonic was in 1964 - in the former home of the diocesan Nicholas Brotherhood. In early 1920 the building housed the military-political course for the Red Army, then the club educators.
In August 1941, during the Nazi bombings, the building of Chernihiv Philharmonic was burned. In the postwar years Philharmonic has been restored with the superstructure 3rd floor above the old chapel. In 2000, the Chernihiv Regional Philharmonic Society was reorganized into the Regional Philharmonic Center festivals and concert programs.
To date, the work of the Chernigov Philharmonic: Academic Symphony Orchestra, Academic Song and Dance Ensemble, the Academic Chamber Choir, Chernigov folk choir, brass band, about 20 famous concert performers, popular artists from Ukraine.
