Philharmonic in Donetsk

 In January 1931, started its activities Donetsk Philharmonic Society.

 In 1933 was established symphony orchestra, the founder and conductor of which was the People's Artist of USSR Nathan Rachlin. Donetsk Philharmonic - one of the biggest concert organizations in Ukraine. In 1959, the Concert Hall of the Philharmonic Society was established a unique body, which during his studies at the St Petersburg Conservatory, played PI Tchaikovsky.

 Nowadays Donetsk Philharmonic conducts a variety of festivals, among which "Prokofiev's Spring", "Donetsk gems", "The Crystal Strings", as well as festivals of organ, brass, folk art and more.
