Botanical Garden in Donetsk

 Donetsk Botanical Garden was established June 25, 1964 by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

 The garden runs along Bogodukhovskaya beams. Its territory is 7 ponds, and the total area of 263 hectares. Botanic Garden grow up 5,5 thousand species of plants. The garden also has 5 greenhouses with total area of 1200 sq. m. which simulated tropical and subtropical conditions.

 In 1983, the Donetsk Botanical Garden has received the status of a monument of landscape art of national importance. December 19, 2001 a comprehensive collection of the Donetsk Botanical Garden "Steppes of Ukraine" given the status of the national heritage of Ukraine.
